There were tons of birds when I went on the Anhinga Trail, but one of them caught my eye because they were the most noticeable of the bunch. There was a wooden canopy that stood in the middle of the walkway and there were a ton of these Double-crested Cormorant birds sitting on the top of it. These birds pooped all over the canopy and all over the walkway below. It looked like a murder scene of poop sprayed all around. I looked up and saw this bird staring at me as I watched all around me to make sure I did not become the next victim of the birds flying above. I could not figure out if this bird was giving me the look of shame, guilt, regret, or if it just wanted to make me the next target of its poop dropping from the sky.
