At the beginning of 2023 I started pushing myself to go on more ice adventures than I ever have before. I headed up to Lake Haiyaha where there had been a rock slide the year prior that pushed glacial powder into the lake. This created a surreal turquoise color to the lake that carried over into the ice in the winter. As I walked around the frozen lake I looked for more interesting ice formations. I found this area where it looked like the rock broke through the ice and left its remnants in its wake. This is one of my favorite winter shots I took up at lake Haiyaha in 2023.
