I like shooting in the winter which is no secret, but I LOVE shooting in winter storms. The storm on this particular day was vicious with winds getting up into the 70-80 mile per hour range. It was very difficult to move around with the sheer force of the wind. After studying snowdrifts while laying on the lake for a while, I worked my way around the lake to find interesting ice sculptures. I found this one on the side of the lake near a formation of rocks and I loved being able to capture the intensity of the snow flying in every direction against the uniqueness of this ice hugging the rock.
