I went down to San Diego in late 2023 which is where I lived for 3 years before moving back to Colorado in 2016. I did not pick up photography until I moved back to Colorado so I wanted to go capture some special shots of San Diego. I always loved going to La Jolla to watch the seals and sea lions of the area putting on a show for the spectators. I went down and shot the wildlife at sunrise and for some reason this particular sea lion took a liking to me and kept looking in my direction. This sea lion stole my heart with its eyes and demeanor and I knew I took the shot of the trip with this shot.
