Studying Snowdrifts

from $75.00

In the winter of 2023 I started to become enamored with snowdrifts. I went out in a couple of vicious storms and started watching the way the snow drifted through the air with winds sometimes upwards of 80 miles per hour. The terrain plays a huge role in the way snow flows in and around the mountains and I had been visiting this lake a lot when I decided I wanted to capture an image that showed the way the snow drifted. I went and laid down on the ice in a place where I knew there was an ice crevasse that would push the snow up and over where I was laying. I captured this image and knew instantly that I nailed the shot I was seeking to capture.
