In 2019 I lived in an apartment building that had an amazing view of downtown Denver from the top of their community deck. I felt very inspired the first time I saw the view which is part of the reason I moved there, but I never expected to get a shot of lightning up there. When the storms moved over the city and headed east, the vantage point from this deck was perfect to see the lightning in the clouds. This was one of the genesis photos to me becoming a storm chaser. This photo was also exhibited in Denver International Airport in 2021 as a part of the “My Colorado: Architecture” exhibit.
