I headed out east to chase a cell that was supposed to blow up near Wray, Colorado. I caught a rainbow and a couple cloud shots before I headed into the cell. After a few minutes of intense rain and lightning I decided to pull back and stay on the periphery of the cell. I hung out near Last Chance, CO and shot the rest of the sunset for a while. There is a very short span of time before the sunset where clouds pick up all the colors right before night falls. This was that moment where the cloud had all the colors before it changed to purple and blue hues and fortunately a lightning strike occurred at the same time.
