The photo that inspired this art was taken in Haleakala National Park in Maui, Hawaii in 2019. I had just driven the Road to Hana to get to the backside of the island to visit the park. When you are hiking out toward the waterfall on the Pipiwai Trail you have to go through the bamboo forest which is one of the coolest and most unique experiences I have had in the states.
