I went to the Ice Lakes Basin in August of 2025 seeking out a sunrise, reflections, and wildflowers. I never expected to be able to capture bees on this beautiful summer day. I went over to Blue Lake to shoot some of the wildflowers near the water and found these bees floating around the flowers. I came up on this set of bees and knew this was the perfect capture for the day.
