Loch Vale is one of my favorite places to visit on earth, especially in the winter. Every year I find myself moving around the landscape in search of beautiful ice structures to contrast against the beauty of Sharktooth Mountain off in the distance. I came to this area next to a rock and fell in love with the ice in this area. There was ice that looks like coral reef, ice that sparkled brightly through the sun, and even a transparent ice that allowed a view into the bottom of the lake. This was a magnificent find and shows the diversity of this lake in the winter.
